I think that those from the Auctioneering & Brokering Co. Ltd. must have gone to Hill. I never saw them. In all probability they would come to me if addressed to the Registrar and I should open them. I should say that the A. & B. Co. Ltd. Account sales did not come to the Registrar.
Cheques should accompany account sales? Did you ever notice any account sale unaccompanied by cheque? Yes, the cheque should accompany the account. I should notice if an account handed to me was not ac- companied by a cheque and I don't recollect ever seeing one without a cheque. After the cheque was endorsed it would be checked with the Treasury direction order and both account sales and cheque would go to the shroff. Of whom does the Bailiffs staff consist? Mr. Hill (ill)

He should be in during office hours. always there in the morning. He has to look after the watchmen but he does this in the early morning and evening.
Is Mr. Hill supposed to look after getting in
the proceeds of sales?
Yes. I think he always knew what sales money came in. I understood that it was part of his duty to see that proceeds of sales were paid in.
